Our Story – From Passion for Campers to a UK-Made Brand
Kent Dubs began with one simple idea — to make life on the road more enjoyable. When we purchased our T2 Bay window crossover from Yovil in Somerset we had no idea of the journey she would take us on. Actually she blew a hole in her near side front port and as it was during the start of Covid and we had just bought her, the breakdown cover didnt want to help. I managed to limp her back to kent on 2.5 cylinders doing about 10mph along the M25 and then M20 much to the annoyance of lorries. After taking the engine out on the road and doing a top engine rebuild on the dining room table we were off on our adventures. it didnt take us long to realise an issue with light in the mornings, other campers struggled with poorly fitting covers and misted windscreens. So, we set out to design something better.
We were lucky enough to win a sea kayak from Aspire Comps, traveling around having an amazing summer we snapped this pic of Elsie and this then became our OG logo.Â
Starting in our Kent workshop, we tested materials, patterns, and fittings until we created the perfect blend of functionality and style. Today, Kent Dubs proudly makes every cover by hand in the UK, ensuring top-tier quality, reliable fit, and a little bit of camper personality in every stitch.
