Our Thermal option has a 4oz silver pigment coated waterproof layer.

This is a strong, durable polyester fabric. It is waterproof and water resistant but unlike other 4oz materials, it is coated in a silver pigment. This silver pigment reflects heat making it great as a lining material keeping cool in summer and warmth in in winter.

This fabric has the following properties:

• Waterproof: Water will just slide off it, protecting it against the rain.
• Lightweight: This fabric is thin and light,.
• Durable: This fabric is hard-wearing and strong.

This layer is then quilted to another layer of wadding material which is hollow fibre Dacron type, constructed by bonding polyester fibres to create an airy fabric, very versatile flame retardant.

The quilting holds the layers securly and forms pockets to add further to its qualities.

This is an ultimate thermal protection in the summer and winter. 

 

So if you have a sun visor fitted you will need the screen cover customising to fit around the mounting of the visor. When you order, please select that you have a sun visor fitted and we will contact you to double check how it fits. Most visors just require a tweak to the top by the door pillar. We do this free of charge. 

If you have non standard mirrors, like bus mirrors or other stange fitment. Please select the bus mirror option. We will then contact you to double check what customisation we need to do to the cover. These adjustments are free of charge.

If you have a snorkel mounted to your vehicle then we will need to adjust the screen cover to fit around the snorkel mount.

When this option is added it costs a little extra this is for the extra material and time it takes to make this adjustment, We will also contact you to make sure of the mount position if its a non standard Snorkel

Our covers will only fit the model they are specified for.

Folding and storing your cover

If you fold your cover methodically, we prefer to fold the eyes onto of each other to protect them from dirt. Make sure the cover is dry before being stored in the storage bag for more than a day or so, to prevent the build up of mould if the cover is folded when wet. If you are camping remember to get it out when home and dry it out thoroughly. We supply a high quality storage bag with all of our screen covers. It is small enough, when packed, to be stored in your vehicle’s glove box.

Are our covers a total blackout solution?

Our screen covers are made from blackout material that is a tightly woven fabric, with a thin liner sewn on to the interior of the cover, to completely block out unwanted daylight.

Can I use my screen cover for frost protection?

Yes, this is a popular product feature. All of our screen covers are designed to protect your windscreen from frost build up.

What material are our screen covers made from?

All our screen covers are made from high quality 600 denier canvas. It is an extremely durable, heavy-duty material, that is all-weather proof. Exposure to the sun may result in expansion, the cover may become looser, but should go bakc to shape when cooled. Long exposure to the sun may also fade the cover over time.

Are our screen covers waterproof?

All our screen cover products are waterproof. Should the screen cover become damp or wet, it is important to ensure it is dry prior to packing into the storage bag.

Can our screen cover be easily stolen from my vehicle?

Our screen covers have envelope style side panels. These are designed to hook over the vehicle door frame. This means the only way to remove the cover is to open the vehicle doors. Please ensure your vehicle is locked once the cover is fitted to ensure it can’t be easily stolen.

Can I use my cover when it’s windy?

Our screen covers include integrated velcro securing tabs that fit around the vehicle wing mirrors and envelope-design side panels that fit over the vehicle’s door frame, and are trapped into the doors once they are closed. We also recommend the vehicles wiper blades be carefully rested on top of the cover. By installing correctly, our screen covers provide a snug fit on your windscreen and side door windows, and will be secure, even in moderately high winds. However, like any fabric, a cover is susceptible to the wind. Storm and wind damage is not covered by our warranty.

Product warranty

All our products come with a 3 month warranty against manufacturer defects. Should you notice a manufacturing fault, please contact us immediately to arrange a return / replacement. Usage of our covers is at the sole risk and discretion of the user. Kent Dubs is not responsible for any damage resulting from the use or misuse of our covers.

Collection

Local pickup is available if you are in the Ashford Area. Please send us a message adn we will arrange when the screen cover is completed for you to collect.

Returns and Refunds Policy

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
