Q: What materials are your screen covers made from?
A: All our covers are made from high-quality 600 denier polyester with a PVC coating, which is durable and water-resistant. They are also sealed for blackout qualities.
Q: Are the covers waterproof?
A: The outer layers are water-resistant — water should bead off. However, we recommend removing the cover in heavy rain, as fabric may not be fully sealed. Always dry the cover fully before storing.
Q: Do your covers provide total blackout?
A: Yes — we use tightly woven blackout fabric so no light can get in
Q: Will the covers protect against frost?
A: Yes — one of the key features is frost protection. In cold weather, the cover acts as a barrier to frost buildup on your windscreen.
Q: Will the cover stretch, shrink, or fade with heat / sun exposure?
A: Because of heat expansion, the cover may loosen slightly in high temperatures but should return to shape as it cools. Over long term, sunlight may fade colours gradually. Also 365 living in your vehicle will fade the covers quicker.
Q: Can I use my cover when it’s windy?
A: Yes, within reason. Our covers include Velcro tabs around wing mirrors and envelope-style side panels that tuck into the door frame. But in storms or very high winds, we recommend removing the cover — wind damage is not covered by warranty.
Q: How do I fit / install the cover?
A: We provide a detailed fitting guide (link: Fitting Guide). Generally, slide the envelope panels over the door frame, secure Velcro to mirrors if applicable, and rest wiper blades gently on the cover.
Q: What about sun visors, snorkels, or unusual mirrors?
A: If your vehicle has a sun visor, snorkel, or non-standard mirrors (e.g. bus mirrors), select those options when ordering. We will adjust the design accordingly and may contact you for measurements.
Sun Visors
So if you have a sun visor fitted you will need the screen cover customising to fit around the mounting of the visor. When you order, please select that you have a sun visor fitted and we will contact you to double check how it fits. Most visors just require a tweak to the top by the door pillar.

Snorkel Adjustments
If you have a snorkel mounted to your vehicle then we will need to adjust the screen cover to fit around the snorkel mount.
Please select the side the snorkel is fitted to, ie

When this option is added it costs a little extra this is for the extra material and time it takes to make this adjustment, We will also contact you to make sure of the mount position if its a non standard Snorkel
Q: Can the cover be easily removed or stolen?
A: Our envelope-style design hooks over the door frames, meaning the cover can only be removed by opening the doors. To further deter theft, always lock your vehicle once the cover is installed.
Q: How should I fold or store my cover?
A: Fold carefully, ideally folding the “eyes” together to protect them. Always ensure the cover is fully dry before storing to avoid mould. We include a storage bag with each cover for convenience. LED covers should be folded as per specific instructions, and only rolled inwards, do not fold to a crease or backwards or this can damage the LED screen.
Q: How are they thermal?
Our Thermal option has a 4oz silver pigment coated waterproof layer.
This is a strong, durable polyester fabric. It is waterproof and water resistant but unlike other 4oz materials, it is coated in a silver pigment. This silver pigment reflects heat making it great as a lining material keeping cool in summer and warmth in in winter.
This fabric has the following properties:
- Waterproof: Water will just slide off it, protecting it against the rain.
- Lightweight: This fabric is thin and light,.
- Durable: This fabric is hard-wearing and strong.

This layer is then quilted to another layer of wadding material which is hollow fibre Dacron type, constructed by bonding polyester fibres to create an airy fabric, very versatile flame retardant.
The quilting holds the layers securly and forms pockets to add further to its qualities.
This is an ultimate thermal protection in the summer and winter.

Q: How do I care for my LED screen cover?
You can look after your LED screen cover the same wayyou would our standard thermal covers but there are a few extra steps re the electrics, screen protection and folding instructions please check them here
Colour Options & Customisation
Q: What colour options are available for the cover fabric?
A: We offer the cover in black, dark grey, royal blue or french navy. LED covers only come in black.
Q: What colours are available for the eyes?
A: Eye colours include Lime, Orange, Purple, Royal Blue, Red, Pink, Maroon, Light Purple, etc. (See the eye colour swatches in the charts.)
Q: Can I request custom designs or personalisation?
A: Yes — you may request minor adjustments or personalisation. If you have a special request (e.g. extra graphics), include that in the order notes and we’ll review any extra cost or feasibility.
Q: Are there extra charges for special features (snorkel, mirrors, visor)?
A: Yes, some custom adjustments require additional material and labour, which may incur a small extra cost. We’ll contact you if required.
Ordering, Manufacturing & Fast Track
Q: What does “Fast Track Manufacture” mean?
A: The Fast Track option prioritises your order in our production queue and upgrades your UK shipping to 24-hour tracked (instead of our standard 48hr). (Note: for international orders, it only speeds up manufacture, not shipping or customs.)
Q: Do you offer local pickup / collection?
A: Yes — if you’re near the Ashford / Kent area, we can arrange collection once the cover is completed. Contact us to coordinate.
Q: How will I know when my order is shipped?
A: We send an email notification with the tracking link once your cover is dispatched. You can also check your order status in your account.
Q: What are your manufacture lead times?
A: Because our covers are handmade and may include custom options, lead times vary. Using Fast Track can reduce wait time. The current approximate lead time will be displayed on each product page just by the buy now button.
Q: Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
A: We try to accommodate changes or cancellations if the product hasn’t yet entered production. Please contact us ASAP (email or phone) to request.
Shipping & International
Q: What is your UK shipping policy?
A: Shipping is free across the UK via Royal Mail Tracked 48. Delivery typically takes 2–3 working days from dispatch.
Q: Do you ship outside the UK?
A: Yes — we ship to the EU, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and many other countries.
Q: What are international shipping costs?
A: For EU: £35 per item. Rest of world: £45 per item (via Royal Mail International Tracked).
Q: Are customs / import duties included?
A: No — any customs / import charges are the responsibility of the buyer. We are not liable for these costs.
Q: What if my parcel is held in customs or delayed?
A: Using the tracking number, you may check progress. If held, contact your local customs / carrier. We can assist in providing documentation but cannot guarantee speed through customs.
Q: Can I pay for expedited / express international shipping?
A: Usually we cannot speed up international shipping beyond what carriers allow. The Fast Track option only expedites manufacturing, not shipping or customs overseas.
Returns, Refunds & Warranty
Q: What is your returns policy?
A: You may return an unused item (in original condition / packaging) within 30 days of delivery.
Q: How do I start a return?
A: Do not send the item back immediately — first contact us at sales@kentdubs.com or call 07714 290860. We’ll provide instructions.
Q: Who pays for return shipping?
A: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. The cost will be deducted from your refund, unless the item is defective (in which case we may reimburse return shipping).
Q: How long does a refund take?
A: Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you and process refund within 7 working days to the original payment method.
Q: Are sale items eligible for a refund?
A: Only full-price items are eligible for refunds. Sale items are excluded.
Q: What warranty do you offer?
A: We provide a 3-month warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers faults in stitching, materials, or workmanship — but excludes damage from misuse, storms, wind, or normal wear & tear.
Q: Can I exchange an item instead of returning it?
A: We only replace items that are defective or damaged. If you want an exchange, contact us and if replacement is the same item we will guide you through the process.
Competitions, Promotions & Entry
Q: How do your competitions work?
A: Competitions may run via product pages (answer a question + purchase) or via free postal entry.
Q: How can I enter for free?
A: To enter free, send a handwritten, unenclosed postcard (with the exact competition title, your name, date of birth, address, email, phone) via first-class postage to our registered address. Your account must be active.
Q: When are winners chosen and announced?
A: Winners are drawn automatically when maximum entries are reached (within one hour). The result is posted in the user account, on our website, and social media.
Q: What are the rules / eligibility?
A: Entrants must be over 18. Free postal entries must exactly match paid entries in details. Entries failing the criteria are void. (See full Terms & Conditions page.)

A: Wipe with a damp cloth; avoid harsh detergents or soaking. Ensure it is fully dry before folding away.
Q: What happens if I damage the cover after the return window?
A: Outside the return or warranty period, we do not offer replacements. You may contact us to see if repair or replacement at cost is possible.
